B-Vitamins Won't Prevent Alzheimer's
(Source: HealthDay News) - According to a recent study, higher homocysteine levels, which are common in Alzheimer's disease, cannot be warded off with B vitamins - at least not in older people who already have high levels of homocysteine.


On the Lookout for Elder Abuse
(Source: Mount Shasta Herald) - The National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) educates people to be on the look out for abuse of Alzheimer's patients. Elder abuse can occur in many forms, including physical, sexual, mental/emotional, abandonment, neglect by self or others, and financial and material exploitation.
